Paykareh is a scientific journal that was first published in 2011 by Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. The journal's mission is to publish novel scientific, practical, and theoretical research on art and history with a special address on visual arts.

Developing qualified art research especially those targeting history topics and their connection with current issues, revealing the stories behind myths, comprehending the relevant concepts, signs and symbols of archetypes, and the symbolic icons and decorations are among the main topics that the journal follows. The anthropology of art and understanding the connection between graphic language and letters are other approaches of the journal. Moreover, the role of visual arts in improving the future quality of human life is another focus of vision.

According to the regulations of scientific publications of the country, Paykareh has received a scientific degree since 2019 and an "A" rank in 2022, which is indexed by the database of ISC and EBSCO, DOAJ.
